Salt marshes are vital coastal wetlands that buffer storms, filter pollution, and provide habitat for wildlife. This project examines the processes and motivations behind community restoration of damaged salt marshes, highlighting hands-on strategies, local examples, and the benefits for both people and ecosystems. Participants will gain a practical understanding of restoration methods they can see and discuss in their own coastal neighborhoods. Learn about NASA and NOAA data resources on the Maine Climate Education Hub.
